This showcase space is also home to three attractions: Growing with the Land, The Creative Mind, and Great Inventors.
Growing with the Land
Growing with the Land a self-guided walk through off man’s efforts in sustainability, and how we need to keep evolving as the land changes. Branching off from the center, are five biomes that guests can explore: The Tropics - a breath-taking trek into a recreation of a rainforest amidst a thunderstorm (the walkway will be covered to prevent guests from getting wet), the Desert - where guests will feel the heat and in a separate chamber, experience the high winds that cause erosion, The Grasslands biome will utilize some of the same but updated AAs of the original attraction where guests can explore the American Prairie, Urban Living will feature all of the creative ways guests can have their own gardens in any area they live in and even beekeeping, and the Wetlands where the importance of the eco-system is presented. In addition to the trails is a series of Green Houses where guests can see the future of agriculture featuring sustainable fishing and Aquaponics in the Aqua Dome, vertical farming and Aeroponics in the High Rise Dome, and many more including a NASA inspired dome to showcase “Growing in Space”. For the kids and like-minded adults, they can grab a Bio Booklet and matching Trek map with fun activities that include searching for different plants, the importance of “pests”, feeding the Sturgeon in the Aqua Dome, and releasing lady bugs in the green houses.
The Creative Mind
The Creative Mind is an interactive playground designed to stimulate the imagination that Progress City and all Disney Magic thrives on. Guests will enter through a rainbow tunnel where they are introduced to a re-imagined Dreamfinder and his lovable assistant Figment. They inform guests that they are about to enter the Dreamport, a place filled with countless dreams, all powered by the imagination and the home of Dreamfinder and Figment. Thy are holding an open house and all are invited to use their imaginations while they play, explore, and create. Each level has a different theme that parallels one of the other communities that can be found across Walt Disney Universe: Music and Dancing, Movies and Acting, Science and Technology, Art and Literature, Architecture and Engineering, Nature and Environment, and finally, Fantasy and Nightmares. Dreamfinder and/or Figment will pop up in different areas to play along with guests at random times. Don’t be surprised if you here the familiar song, “One Little Spark” in the music room.
If guests need a break, they can take in the Deep Thought Gardens where they can relax, marvel at the beautiful crystalline structures, take a stroll among the giant crystals, or just enjoy the Jumping Fountains.
At night, the crystals in the Deep Though Garden light up in a rainbow of colors. It is here that Dreamfinder also holds a nightly show. Figment “assists” with the show, more often than not with comedic effects, and actually seems to fly around and disappear. This show not only explores the wonders of imagination and the importance of it in our daily lives, but also that this is what Progress City was founded on: the dreams, hopes, and imagination of people just like you. Without these things, we wouldn’t be here today. The show climaxes with Dreamfinder honoring the guests as Dreamkeepers and encouraging guests to keep their dreams close to the hearts and set the imaginations free. Dreamfinder then climbs into his Dreamcatcher and takes off on a flight of fancy.

Great Minds
Great Minds is a walk-through time line of the greatest minds in human history. This experience features hologram technology where guests can “meet” each featured thinker and see the timeline of how humanity developed some of its greatest treasures. Much like Spaceship Earth in the 20th century, this experience will utilize some of the same scenes although with a much more updated technology of the time. At the end of the walk through, guests have the opportunity to meet Hiro and Baymax at a replica of a San Fransokyo Tech School dorm room or meet Lewis and Wilbur from Meet the Robinsons in Lewis’s room.
The Veldt
On the rim of the city core would be the Veldt. Serving as a wide buffer between Progress City and the residential housing, this a green area where the city services would be located like parks with playgrounds, exercise gyms, hospitals, community centers, schools, stadiums, and churches would be located here. All government buildings are in this area as well. Disney HQ is also located in this area. Although most of the building houses the offices of Disney employees and executives, guests are invited in for tours. Tours like, Creating the Magic, even let guests in to meet with Disney imagineers and give sneak peeks into upcoming projects. The main attraction though would be the Trees of Life.
12 of these trees ranging in height from 25 to 50 metres, tower over much of the Veldt. They not only serve as a base for vertical gardens but provide shade and shelter to guests. Each tree is also embedded with sustainable energy and water technologies integral to the cooling of the Progress City and its energy centre that house solar hot water heaters, solar panels, venting ducts, and rainwater harvesting systems, therefore combining the best of botany and engineering. An aerial walkway is suspended from the Trees of Life offering visitors a view of the entire garden. At night, they light up with music and projections climaxing in a wonderful nighttime specular.
Residential Area
Beyond the Veldt is the residential neighborhoods. Most of the residents living on D23 are housed in this area, although each community does have residential housing for those who work in those specific communities, however, the highest population density is near Progress City. These residential areas are shaped like flowers with the houses being located on each pedal along with a green area for walking trails, electric carts, recreation areas and playgrounds for children. The WEDway station for each residential area is located in the green area, so each resident could simply walk to the station near his or her home and go to work. Again, this would avoid everyday car usage and potential pollution or accidents. Most the residents would be employed at the Welcome Center, the Constellation Hotel and Spa, the Convention Center, Centorium shopping area, security, the industrial park, as well as at the schools, entertainment venues, and maintenance jobs in the Veldt.
